The much anticipated Parade of Lights will be earlier in the season this year as it has been moved up two weeks. Additionally, the event will feature some extra attractions have been added to the day.
Holiday shopping hours will start at 10:00 a.m. and last until 7 p.m. throughout the village. Many of our merchants will be lending a hand to many local charitable organizations that day as they partner with local charities, service organizations and food pantries to aid those in need this winter. Please consider using these merchants as a drop off point if donating or giving to these organizations is part of your holiday tradition.
A free chili dinner open to the community is being served at the United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall located at 201 W. Adrian Street starting at 5:00 and it will last throughout the Parade.
Organizers are planning for a minimum of 50 units in this year’s Parade of Lights. In addition to our Grand Marshall, Sammy Thompson, you’ll also see Miss River Raisin Festival, Ashliegh Allen, Miss Plow Day, Kaitlyn Goodman, Miss Michigan, Elizabeth Wautenberger, and our special guests of honor, Santa and Mrs. Claus. The parade begins at 6:00 p.m. and goes north on South Lane Street to East Adrian Street and then back down Giles Avenue.
A “Flash Mob” of singing and dancing to Christmas carols rounds out your fun for the evening in Downtown Blissfield on Lane Street. Bundle up the family and head downtown for Blissfield’s annual Parade of Lights.
Special thanks to our wonderful partners!
